Chapter V- Deal of death.
Sicago was overall head of all head of tribes. Sicago had came to Tonikaka with hard hunter men. Sicago asked men to stand outside the hut of Hoodi and enter the hut alone.
Hoodi was surprised to see Sicago. Hoodi bowed down to Sicago and offer his seat to sit. Sicago was silent like death man. Slowly, Sicago made eye contact to Hoodi and said “So finally Leo is not herby anymore?”
Hoodi maintained silence, as convicts stand before the Father on conviction.
Sicago continued “ Do you know what shall be consequence of Leo being alive till date and what shall be future of ours. I believed that only western world men are our enemy. But you deceived me and entire tribes. You wanted to king of tribes and replace me.”
Hoodi said “I never deceived our tribes nor you. Nor do I want to be king of the tribes. Instead, I have appointed Leo as head of my tribe, instead of my son. I never thought that Tikaka was protecting and nourishing Lion. But Leo is responsible and I assured that he shall not harm to our or any tribes”.
Sicago “Still you are reluctant to understand the grave danger. We cannot go to south in search of water or food because of this death devil ( Dusk lion). No one had survived the passage, no animals even Lions prides. You says you and our tribes are safe. Still its not too late. We all have came here to kill that Leo for once and all and that too today. Its up to you to be with us or die with Leo”.
Hoodi “ Leo is fully grown and too late to be killed. He alone have killed 12 elephants and human hunters so far. His power could not be understated. Mother nature had granted this boon to us, to protect us.”
Sicago “ Still we can kill that Leo, Hoodi. Don’t be emotional. Be wise, you are head of the tribe. Both of us have seen deadly events of the Devil death 15 years back. Entire army and hunters troop were killed and only one white man was left. Killing of elephants confirms that Leo is of the same breed and going to be next devil death. “.
Hoodi “ Please have mercy and be wise too. Leo killed 12 elephants to protects tribal men. Leo is cruel only for wilds and western enemies and not for tribes”.
Sicago kept starting to eyes of Hoodi for some time as if reading the truth behind his assurance.
Sicago raised his hand and said “ Then lets have a deal. If Leo is your tribal head and protector than send him to south today to kill that devil of death. If he succeeded to kills that devil of death, he shall be not only head of your tribe but all tribes, he shall be next Sicago. Say done.”
Hoodi kept staring Sicago and his hand. Sending Leo to south to Devil of death means death of Leo. Devil of death is much more powerful. With many doubt, Hoodi said yes and shake hand with Sicago.”
At the door, two eyes were glittering in darks. It was Leo !.
